The Deputy
Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere has asked corps members who had
served and still serving in the state to have an outlook of national unity and patriotism,
eschewing all forms of sentiment and tribalism as the state is open to accommodate
every young person who comes to the state regardless of where he or she is
from.

Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation course for the 2015 batch “B” deployed
to Imo State closed.
He further reminded them of the
objectives of the national service, which he said is to foster unity and national
development and urged them to lead the re-orientation campaign towards making
Nigeria a more cohere and unified country where ethnicity and tribalism will be
relegated to the barest minimum.
Delivering
a speech on behalf of the Governor, Prince Madumere praised the NYSC scheme
which he said had made and is still making concerted efforts to the development
and growth of the State, particularly in the area of education and health
sector. He also commended the skill acquisition
scheme of the NYSC, describing it as a veritable tool to reducing unemployment in
the country.
