The Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere has urged women to use
their strategic position to ensure that peace and harmony reigned supreme in
the nation.
This he said while addressing women groups under the aegis of Mbieri
Nwaotuoke Cultural Union (Women Wing) when they paid him a courtesy call at his
country home in Achi-Mbieri, Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State and
reminded them of the maxim, which says that charity begins at home, a charge he
gave them to ensure that there is peace and unity at their homes, which he said
will radiate to the Nation at large.
He also averred that if women as mothers could pursue an agenda towards
impacting on their children and the environment, Nigeria will be the most
peaceful and united country.
He also called on women of the ancient kingdom of Mbieri to use their God
given influences in the families to impact their immediate environment
positively, advising them to ensure that their children are admonished against
cultism, armed robbery and other social vices.
The President of the women group, Lady Meg Oparaugo thanked the number
two citizen for his Imo State for his humility and assured him of their support
for the State Governor’s Rescue Mission Government.
