Imo
State Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere, yesterday paid a condolence visit
to the family of late Audu Abubakar in his home town, Ogbonicha in Ofu local
government area of Kogi State.
The
Deputy Governor, who represented the Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha was among
others likes of the Secretary General of Federation, Babachir David Lawal and
other high profile government personnel.
Speaking
to the newsmen, Madumere described Prince Audu Abubakar ' s sudden passing as
shocking.
He
said his principal Owelle Rochas Okorocha could not believe it even after the
media had confirmed the death.
He
regretted that his death came at a time his people needed him most to lead them
at this down moment in the life of the State and the nation, the call which the
people of Kogi expressed at the last guber poll.
Speaking
further, he said despite all odds, Prince Abubakar contributed his quota as his
legacies are being sung by his people.
His
submission in his words, " On behalf of my Governor, the Governor of Imo
State, Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha and the good people of Imo State, I
heartily condole with the family and people of Kogi State over the death
of our brother, partner in progress and a leader. We pray to Almighty God for
the repose of his soul.
