Edo House Of Assembly Makes History As She Elect Her First Female Speaker!!

The Edo State House of Assembly today made history by electing for the first time, a woman to the position of Speaker of the Assembly.

The new speaker is Mrs. Elizabeth Ativie who was at various times in the assembly, Chairman, House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development.

The lawmaker represents Uhunmwode Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly and she is known in her constituency to have influenced and completed various laudable projects especially in Oke, Orhua, Irhue, Idummwui ugha and Izikhiri.
