Born
in Obosi, Anambra state on July 18, 1971, Ositadinma Benjamin Chidoka is one
who has been in public service for most of his working life. After a stint at
the Federal Capital Development Authority in 1996, Chidoka, who graduated from
the University of Nigeria in 1995 with a degree in Management went on to work
from 1997 to 1998 as Personal Assistant to the Minister of State, Ministry of
Works and Housing.
After
leaving public service in 2006, Chidoka moved to Mobil Producing Nigeria, a
subsidiary of ExxonMobil Corporation, where he was made the Senior Advisor,
Government and Business Relations, a position which saw him still hobnobbing
with the government of the day. It was from his position at Mobil that, in
2007, he was appointed as Corps Marshal and Chief Executive of the Federal Road
Safety Commission, at the age of 36, making him the youngest ever to occupy the
office.
Other
positions he had occupied include;
-Assistant
Secretary, 1999 Handover Committee, Federal Republic of Nigeria.
-Team
Leader, Committee on development of the current Port Policy.
-Member,
Committee on drafting of the non-motorized transport mode policy to provide
infrastructure for safe walking, bicycling and other transport modes that are
sustainable and environmentally friendly.
-Member,
Committee on review of Abuja Master plan.
-President,
African Group, International Road Safety Organisation (PRI).
Osita
Chidoka also holds a Graduate Diploma in Maritime & Ports Management,
National University of Singapore – 2002.

in Global Strategy and Political Economy, Mansfield College, Oxford University
– 2004.
Masters
Degree in Transport Policy & Logistics, School of Public Policy, George
Masons University, USA – 2006.
He
is the NEXT GOVERNOR of Anambra state..
