Eucharia Anunobi Said: I AM A VERY PROUD MOTHER.

Motherhood is defined by Merriam Webster as first "a female parent," and secondly as "maternal tenderness or affection."

Looking very closely at these two different meanings of motherhood, one will agree with me that ‘‘Every Woman’’ is actually a mother, regardless of the fact that they may or may not have children of their own.

This is embedded on the fact that the female gender is equipped by God with all the inner materials to show tenderness and affection.

Consequent upon this fact, I can proudly say that I AM A QUALIFIED MOTHER IN ALL RAMIFICATIONS with a PHD in MOTHERHOOD, having bored a son biologically and fostering others.

Now to my point. The Bible says that those who work in the vineyard of God, that God will in turn work in their own vineyard! Agree?

My 11year old son, the prince of my life, one of the things I look back at and give thanks to God for, passed all the entrance examinations he took to enter secondary school recently. One may wonder why this is important to me right? It actually shows that my labour in the vineyard of God has not gone unrewarded.

Well, I am not ashamed to acknowledge the fact that he entered in for the entrance examinations in five different schools and in all, he came out tops.

And you know the best part of it all? The school where he is graduating from right now, gave him the same remark I got while I was in school.

Could this be coincidence? I beg to disagree! Because everything that concerns us had been written and planned out before we were born by God.

To women all over the world, I am proud of you.

To raise a child, to nurture, care or even foster? Hmmmmmmmmm! This is a very daunting task that money can never quantify. I am one amongst the millions of women who are taking care of their children single-handedly and at the end of the day, what do we get in return? Criticism and Condemnation from people who may not have the slightest idea of what MOTHERHOOD means in its practical form.
I therefore challenge everyone who thinks it’s easy to have a child, to go get pregnant, carry on for nine months, enter the labour room, come out in good health, breastfeed exclusively (like I did) for 8months, carry the child on your back like I also did everywhere you go, regardless of status, fame or position in the society (Patience Okeafor of Galaxy Television, Lagos, will bear witness), nurse that child (ren) into an adolescent and adult, then you will understand in full, what MOTHERS go through.

I am proud of my gift from God, Raymond Chimnonso Ekwu and proud of every MOTHER other there.

Congratulations MOTHERS. We make the world what it is.
