The supervising minister of the same minister, Adamu Adamu disclosed this on Tuesday at a press conference in Abuja, asking that Nigerians should pray for the speedy recovery of the minister.
Prof. Anwukah was said to have attended a Federal Executive Council meeting two weeks ago wearing a cervical collar.
It is not clear what the ailment is, but unconfirmed stories says the professor has issues with his prostrate and needed to attend to it before it gets out of hand.
