of us are not conversant with Tuwon Dawa.
It is a guinea corn morsel that is Nutrient dense: a nutritional

fibre and also rich in micronutrients including, B-vitamins, magnesium, iron,
copper, potassium and calcium.
Tuwon
Dawa combines well with this slightly
cooked Okro Soup . The slightly cooked Okro just gives the soup great crunchy
texture that makes it so Yum. What are

Tuwon Dawa.
Ingredients..
1
kg Goat meat ( cut into bite size) cooked
4
Fresh Yellow Pepper
4
Fresh Red peppers
A handful of Uziza leaves
A handful of Curry leaves
Seasoning
Cubes to taste
Salt
to taste
4
cups Okro ( chopped and pounded )
2
tbsp Ground dry Crayfish
Method
1....
Add goat meat and stock into an pot and bring to the boil.
2....Now
blend Peppers, Uziza leaves , Curry
leaves together coarsely and add to the meat.
3...Add
Crayfish, seasoning stir well and allow to boil for 10 minutes.
4...
Add the Pounded Okro stir well and taste for salt . Correct if need be. Cook
for 5 minutes so that the Okro is cooked but still crunchy .
5...
Serve hot with Tuwon Dawa. ( guinea corn morsel) or any swallow of your choice.

Tuwon DAWA ( Guinea Corn Flour)
Ingredients
4
cups of DAWA

Cups of water
Method

Bring water to boil in a clean pot
-
In a bowl, mix 2 cups of DAWA with 1 cup of cold water and pour into the
boiling water while stirring continuously to avoid lumps until it is thickens
-
Cover and cook on medium heat for 10 minutes
- Add the remaining DAWA gradually while
stirring well till you have a soft but firm but soft paste consistency

Add some more hot water to the sides and cover to cook for 5 minutes on low
heat

Stir well to desired consistency and form shapes.
