The Acting Chair of the Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu maybe facing another challenging time with the
legislative arm of government as the order for his arrest was given by the House
of Representatives Committee on Public Petitions on Wednesday in Abuja for
failing to appear before it to answer questions bothering on what the committee
termed, harassment on the former first lady, Patience Jonathan.
The order states that he is to be brought before the
committee on November 7 to clarify some salient issues embedded in the petition
the wife of former President Goodluck Jonathan, Patience, sent to the House.
Patience Jonathan had petitioned the House, alleging
harassment of her person and firms linked to her associates by the EFCC, the
Federal Inland Revenue Service and the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency.
