I recent times, I had taken a decision to ignore the politics going on in Imo State and I permanently closed my mouth on any issue that concerned the state but this one got me.

The issue of salaries and pensions in the state are the two major killers of the reputation of the administration of Rochas Okorochas in Imo State, as there are divergent views concerning this matter, which are, the view of government which deals more with lies and that of the real pensioners themselves. This is the story of this woman as presented by her daughter who was recently called to the Nigerian Bar as a Lawyer in Abuja.

Chinwe Oge Udeariry’s mother is a pensioner in Imo State, who was recently deceived by the state governor, Rochas Okorocha when presented her with a Cheque that bounced as her pension.

How does anyone who does this sleep with their two eyes closed?

Well, the aggrieved daughter of the old woman came on facebook to share her grief with her followers and friends and had these to say.

''So my mom collected her pension cheque last week and was really happy that after so many verification she was paid, only for her to go to bank and it was a dud cheque. Our governor is now giving dud cheques to pensioners in Imo State, but had enough money to erect Jacob Zuma statue in the state. This is men and women that worked more than 35 years in service to their state and Country. And people will say this man has a conscience''?
