2018/19 will sure be a year with very hot expectations with the way politicians, both small and big are gradually allying and disengaging to form new alliances that will profit them the more and one of those is the husband of Nollywood actor and Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello on Entertainment, Mercy Johnson, Prince Odi Okojie who just resigned his membership of the People's Democratic Party in Edo State.

It would be recalled that in 2014/15, Prince Okojie gave himself to be voted for, without the approval of the party in Edo State, the office of the Deputy Governor, against the procedure of party politics in Nigeria where a candidate is supposedly nominated for both the Governor and his deputy and never has there been a case where a single person would bring himself out to contest for the position of Deputy Governor without being nominated by the party.
Even though it has been expected that he was gonna resign being that his wife now works for an APC Governor, a longer time-frame had been given by political watchers who were of the opinion that the man would not like to be seen as a puppet in the hands of his wife, so would play down on his resignation plan.
Prince Odi Okojie however did not state what his next line of action is, nor which party he is joining, but it is evident where his loyalty is at the moment.
