I am not against Tithes. I believe in the Tithes and i do give my Tithes BUT as an Advocate for Social improvement I believe that the ALLOCATION OF RESOURCES GIVEN BOTH AS TITHES AND TAX ARE LOPSIDED.

The Lord began to show me that a major cause of the BACKWARDNESS AND DARKNESS in African societies is because The vulnerable in the societies are not taken care of SYSTEMATICALLY.

People from Africa are "Checking out" to developed cities of the world where there's fairness, social security, good amenities and all of that. Though not perfect, those societies are using TAX PAYERS FUNDS to ensure a level of Comfort and Care for the citizens and the WEAK.

God instituted The Welfare system and gave a pattern of it in the book of Acts of the Apostles and Exodus;....."And none lacked among them"

It was The Church that began the welfare system that the western world is now practising.

The Church should become more SOCIALLY RELEVANT.

A MAJOR PART OF THE TITHES SHOULD BE USED TO BUILD AND SUSTAIN SYSTEMS TO CARE FOR THE NEEDY AND TO IMPROVE COMMUNITY.

God is about people. The people are the real deal therefore MORE RESOURCES SHOULD GO IN THAT DIRECTION. Having been a vital part of The Church for almost 2 decades, we need to readjust where allocation of resources is concerned and give more to BUILDING SYSTEMS TO CARE FOR THE VULNERABLE GROUPS AND IMPROVE SOCIETY.

I see that Religion has crept into the hearts of many even in The Word of Faith circle where a believer jealously guards his Tithes and quickly pays it but not give attention to critical matters of charity around. This is Religion not the heart of The Father. God is more interested in A LIFE THAN YOUR RELIGIOUS OBLIGATIONS.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

Matthew 23:23 KJV

I know we give to the poor and for charity causes in our churches but that usually comes from leftovers/change, after we have given and given and given for more "important" things. This ought not to so my beloved.

Finally, Let us use a huge part of The Tithes and Tax to build;

Food banks for the hungry

Shelter for the homeless

Good health institutions

Good schools

All for The Poor and for societal progress.

Don't get it twisted. I am for The Church BUT WE CAN DO BETTER TO REDEEM OUR NAME AND SHINE OUR LIGHT FOR THE WORLD TO SEE.
