The
Former Commissioner for Home Affairs under the administration of Asiwaju Bola
Ahmed Tinubu, Chief Babatunde Adele Balogun will today emerge the new Chairman
of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Lagos State.
Babatunde
Balogun is from Apapa, the central senatorial district of Lagos and will be
replacing Chief Henry Ajomale in the congress that will hold at the state’s
secretariat of the party in Ogba, Lagos later this morning.
At
67 years old, Babatunde was a three times Commissioner who has been a faithful
Party man by all standards, loyal and efficient, which is why the Governor
Advisory Committee, GAC of the party held a meeting Thursday, 17th at the
secretariat of the party and picked him as the best candidate that will steer
the ship of the Party forthwith.
He
is seen as a man who will not betray both the party and the legacies the party
in Lagos stands for and as expected, he is a team-player.
Also
picked is the Publicity Secretary of the party in Lagos in the person of Mr. Wale
Ahmed.
