The
Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere will on Saturday, the 26th
of May in Lagos be honoured with the prestigious “INTEGRITY MAN OF THE YEAR”
AWARD 2018 at the forthcoming 2018 Nigerian Association of Christian
Journalists (NACJ)’s INTEGRITY LECTURE AND AWARDS.
In
a statement made available to Precious Eze’s Blog, the organizers of the show,
the National Executive Council (NEC) of the National Association of Christian
Journalists, said that the award is a special honour bestowed on eminent
Nigerians who have over the years distinguished themselves in the course of
their careers as integrity conscious leaders.
The
nomination of Prince Eze Madumere for the Award is predicated on his impressive
track record as a political leader with high sense of integrity, having watched
him over the years with keen interest and are proud to identify with his
diligence, patriotism and honesty as a Nigerian, identifying him as a SYMBOL OF
INTEGRITY IN NIGERIA and a worthy AMBASSADOR of the Nigerian Association of
Christian Journalists.
The
award which was instituted in 2013 to specifically fight corruption in our society
is designed to evolve a new face of leadership in order to build a new Nigeria
devoid of the wrinkles of corruption.
It
is the believe of the organizers that corruption is a function of the mind and
to fight it effectively, a change of mindset is needed in the society, hence,
INTEGRITY AWARD and the choice of the Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze
Madumere is based on his consistently displayed virtues of integrity in his
leadership responsibilities and in his bid to use his rare sense of integrity,
patriotism, courage and commitment to building a better society in Imo State.
