The
death has been announced of the Chief Press Secretary to the Enugu State Governor,
Mr. Uwakwe Abugu.
Announcing
the death of his colleague, the Commissioner for Information of the state,
Ogbuagu Anikwe said that the CPS pass on in an Idian Hospital on Tiesday after
a protracted illness.
The
governor, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi according to Ogbuagu has visited the late
Abugu’s Enugu residence at Independence Layout to condole with the family over
the death of their father.
The Late Uwakwe Abugu was until his appointment
as Chief Press Secretary in June 2015 the South-East Bureau Chief of the New
Telegraph Newspaper.
The Commissioner said that the burial
arrangements would be announced by the family shortly.
