Bukola Saraki. |
In
the thick of the intrigues that ushered-in the 2015 elections, one of the
architects of President Muhammadu Buhari's victory had said out of curiosity
that one of the reasons he had slowed things down before eventually parting
ways with former President Goodluck Jonathan was because he had been praying
but had not heard from God.
For
him to take the plunge, he longed to hear first from God since according to
him, the God factor was too important to be canceled out of the equation.
"Jonathan,
I can fight but certainly not God. I need to first know where God stands in
this matter," he said.
I
want to believe he finally heard from God and played a defining role in
Buhari's emergence.
This
is my point. In your resentment for Saraki, have you asked from God if he had a
hand in his emergence as SP? Haven't you wondered that in spite of the mines
planted his way at different times, he always comes out victorious? He is, of
course, not a preternatural being; he probably has the grace of God over his
life. Do you know those called "omo ologo"? He is probably one!
Therefore,
when you challenge him, you just might be up against God. Your erroneous
impressions do not form the basis for God's choice of what to do with anyone.
He is not you and His ways are not the same as yours.
Next
time when you plot or design the fall of others, remember there is a supreme
being, whose approval you must first seek.
Let
me leave you with this bible passage below:
"Let
every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God:
the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the
power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to
themselves damnation". Romans 13:1-2 KJV.
Always
reckon the God factor!
