Anenih who recently clocked the age of 70 was celebrated and showered with high
encomium as one of the women in Nigeria whose achievements in Government cannot
be quantified, especially serving as the high place as Minister and National
Women Leader of the People’s Democratic Party, the PDP.

At
70, Iyom is still as beautiful as ever, soft spoken, firm, intelligent and
seriously still championing the course of women in the country and these were
evident as the audience applauded her as her contributions as Minister were
mentioned.

Till
today, Mrs. Josephine Anenih’s achievements and records as minister has not
been broken by anyone who had occupied that position after, or even before her.
