The
Nigerian Maritime and Safety Agency, NIMASA today received the Corporate Merit
Award from the organizers of the 2018 Public Relations Forum/CSR Awards and
Exhibition which held at the Sheraton Hotels, Lagos.
The
award was in recognition of NIMASA’s achievements in the agency’s Social
Responsibility policies as a Federal Government parastatal, having played
differently from other agencies of government, which is why the agency was
selected for this prestigious award.

Accepting
the award, the Director General of the agency, Dr. Dakuku Peterside said that
he was delighted that the efforts of NIMASA under him are being noticed by
players in the Public Relations sector of the economy, as it is his desire that
Nigerians use all platforms available to them to be socially responsible and
this is achievable.
