Senator Oluremi Tinubu is the Senator representing the good people of Lagos Central Senatorial district of Lagos, former first lady and wife of the National Leader of the APC, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a gathering of political bigwigs in Kosofe Federal Constituency in Lagos recently, grassroot politician and frontline contender for the Kosofe Federal Constituency seat at the National Assembly, Otunba Chief Mrs. Yetunde Arobieke says that amongst Senators representing the three political zones in Lagos State, the former first lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has done creditably well in carrying her constituents along since she became a Senator and this is possible because she is a woman from whose heart flows milk and honey.

Look Precious she says, this assertion of mine is not to say that the other senators are not performing well, what I’m saying is that Oluremi Tinubu has done far better than anyone who had ever been on that seat before her.

This maybe because she is a woman, but I can tell for free that the relationship that exist between Senator Tinubu and her constituents is second to none in Lagos and this is worthy of emulation by any forward thinking politician in not only Lagos alone, but in Nigeria in general. She has demystified the office of the Senator amongst her people with the constant communication through her town-hall meetings she organizes to not only empower them, but to listen to them, while using the platform to find solutions to their various challenges.

This is how representation should be Precious and I am happy that we have an example like Senator Oluremi Tinubu in Lagos, breaking barriers to show us that all things are possible even for women and that…..if we put our hearts to it, we will achieve it and this is why people like me who knows what grassroot politics is all about is seeking to represent my people at the House of Representatives.
