BAYO OSINOWO 2019: The Voices Of Lagos East Senatorial District Was Made Clear As Hon. Bayo Osinowo Declared His Intention To Run For Senate.

Over the years, since 2003, our people in Kosofe State Constituency 1 have continually reposed their confidence in me by giving me their mandate to represent them at the Lagos State House of Assembly and even though the road has been rough and tough but with all sense of modesty, I believe that the level of our success in the state Assembly has given birth to what we are doing today: the decision to officially offer my humble self to represent you, the good people of Lagos East Senatorial District in the Upper Legislative Chamber.

That was the opening remark by the aspirant for the post of Senator, representing the Lagos East Senatorial district; Hon. Sikiru Adebayo Osinowo, at the official declaration of his intention to ask his people in the Lagos East for votes as they had done him since 2003.

This very noble request of his was unanimously adopted, endorsed and accepted by the entire Lagos East political class, on whose hand the emergence of who the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC at the primary election of the party which holds in the next few weeks.

From the grassroots, to the middle political class, the real king markers and all members of the APC in the Lagos East zone came out amass to declare their undivided support for the ambition of their own. Hon. Bayo Osinowo.

According to Bayo Osinowo, “What we are here to do today is not a programme for rhetorics, but a day of serious business, hence, I will not bore you with a long speech, but to state the obvious which is that, I am seeking to go to the National Assembly to represent you, my people”.

This is a move that was generally agreed upon by leaders of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in this senatorial district Osinowo continued, it is their unanimous decision that, I, Sikiru Adebayo Osinowo, should present myself for the onerous task of representing this senatorial district in the Senate and humbly, I asked, who am I to disobey the elders? It is not in my character to do so and therefore, having been a member of the state Assembly since 2003, with all sense of modesty, a lot of legislative experiences have been acquired by me which I believe will come in handy for the task ahead.

All these experiences I have acquired to serve you better. I am going to Abuja to make use of my experiences to deliver solid dividends of democracy to you and so shall it be.

Mudashiru Obasa, Dr. Tola Kasali, Members of the House of Representatives from the Lagos East, former and present Chairmen of Local Governments and Local Council Developmental Areas in the zone, former and present members of the Lagos State House of Assembly, zonal and ward Chairmen of the APC in the Lagos East Senatorial District, former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Chief Mrs. Remi Adiukwu, infact, everyone who is who in the politics of the Lagos East was at the venue to declare their support for Hon. Bayo Osinowo.
