Sen. Gbenga Ashafa.
The little I know about politics, especially in Lagos is that one must belong to a particular group of interest at a particular time, with no room for jumping from one place to another like what Igbo people will call, ‘’MKPURU AMU’’ here.

So, it is expected of politicians who ply their political trades in Lagos to know that there are things they are never expected to be seen doing, one of which is ‘’PUBLIC DISPLAY OF CONFUSION OVER POLITICAL CHOICE’’, which the Senator Representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Gbenga Ashafa seem to have done by the way and manner he is carrying on over the seemingly political issue between grassroots politicians in Lagos and the Governor of Lagos, Akinwunmi Ambode.

The senator who was seen at the declaration of one of the prominent contenders for the post of Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Jide Sanwoolu, was also seen at the declaration of the incumbent Akinwunmi Ambode, who has also come out with his ambition to rule Lagos again.

It is not clear therefore the motive of Senator Gbenga Ashafa for attending the two events which happened with days intervals, but we must state that with the aforementioned, he hasn’t shown complete loyalty to the APC in Lagos, knowing what is on ground between the Party and the governor.

A case in study here is an invitation extended to a certain female political bigwig from the Lagos East by the TVC Breakfast crew sometime ago and when asked if she should be addressed in a certain way, she objected, stating frankly that her loyalty first of all is with the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and that every other thing comes far behind these two and she can never be addressed in a certain way that will go contrary to her Party and the leadership of the party in Lagos.

So, one would wonder the yardstick behind Senator Gbenga Ashafa’s support for the two contenders for the ticket of the APC in Lagos or maybe, he thought no one will take notice??
I advise Senator Gbenga Ashafa to as a matter of urgency, come out to tell Lagocians and the Lagos East people whom he wants as governor of Lagos State?
Is it the man whose declaration was on a Sunday or the one who had his on a Saturday since he takes pleasure in attending declaration of parties.
