REMI ADIUKWU vrs APC: Her Real Reasons For Dumping PDP For The APC.

Chief Mrs. Remi Adiukwu.
In politics, especially in Nigeria, one-thing is constant and consistent, “PERMANENT INTEREST” which supersedes every other interests, individual or collective, but for Chief Mrs. Remi Adiukwu, “PARTY INTEREST” was major for her as she made the decision for a major pull back to the All Progressives Congress, APC which happened at the party’s secretariat on Acme Road, Ogba, Lagos.

The Oshodi-Isolo constituency in the past few years of her exit from mainstream politics in Lagos had suffered monumental setbacks premised on the fact that the only person on whose pedigree the political fortune of the constituency relied on exited, making it impossible for the ruling party in Lagos to get a hold of that area, giving the APC worries and now, the return of the political mother who knows how to gather her chicks when necessary, and she has returned to gather all that the canker-worm had eaten over the years.

Yes, she had issues with how she was treated in the past, who wouldn’t be if you were in her shoes in 2007, but that is history now as she is back to the camp of her partner and brother,  Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, under whom her prominence rose as Commissioner in two different ministries, capped with her brilliance and performance which catapulted her resume, making her one of the best things that ever happened to that administration.

One-thing is certain here. The Oshodi-Isolo constituency will no longer be the same with her return to the APC. This was her promise to the party during her official re-declaration and welcome back rally in the presence of the Chairman of the party in Lagos State, Alhaji Tunde Balogun and his state executives.

Hear her: “I have gone to the PDP and I am back home as the journey of every human being is destined by God and I am here to stay”. “I am back to my home and I am back with my supporters, especially those of them who had wanted to return a long time ago but didn’t know how to come back. I am here with them today and be sure that others will follow”.

Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the APC in Lagos, Chief Tunde Balogun said that he is excited to have Chief Mrs. Remi Adiukwu back to the party as a leader such as her is needed at this point in time to help harness the full potentials of Lagos as she drives to her destination of being a complete Mega City which needs collective efforts to achieve and Chief Adiukwu should be a major player and contributor to that project.

Consequently, it is evident that the entrance of Chief Mrs. Remi Adiukwu to the APC in Lagos will add very huge volume to the fortunes of the party, especially amongst women, being a catalyst for women mobilization, grassroots political bulldozer and leader in the Oshodi-Isolo axis of the state which had been with the opposition for a long time now after her exit.

It is therefore worthy of note that she is a woman whose political statue cannot be ignored and her coming back will be of immense benefit to the party even at the national level, being a national figure herself and the party is happy to have her back.

The landmark of the event was the handing over of the party's flag to Chief Remi Adiukwu by the Chairman of the party in Lagos State.
