DELTA 2019: Pat Utomi Would Have Been The "BIGGEST MISTAKE" Of The APC.

Professor Patrick Utomi is a very successful man in all ramifications, having been a Special Adviser to a former Nigerian President at age 28, a fit non has been able to achieve in the country and this is why alot of people reckon with not only his person, but his brains all the time.


A Professor of Political Economy, Pat Utomi is one man who is very useful to not only Nigeria, but Africa as a whole, having traversed through the length of economic pursuit to rise to the position he occupy today amongst leaders in the Financial sector as an authority in his field, but there is a snag.

The snag here is the fact that Professor Pat Utomi is one man who can never contest and win an election successfully in Nigeria, even if that election is for him to be an ordinary Counselor in the local ward where he either live or his state of origin and this assertion is not contestable by every standard.

Yes, very bad, but election in Nigerian is all about money, without which no man can scale through the primaries of the party, more or less, winning as the candidate of any party.

A friend of mine who contested for the primaries to represent his people at the Akwa-Ibom State House of Assembly told me this morning how delegates to the primaries of the party collected between 100,000.00 and 150,000.00 from aspirants to vote them during the exercise and one wonders what exactly such a candidate will do if he gets to the House of Assembly, but look, that is how politics is in Nigeria and this is exactly where Pat Utomi would have failed woefully.

Professor Pat Utomi is known to be one of the "MOST STINGY" men, with emphasis, in our political history, to the extent that he has become synonymous with the word, STINGY, everywhere he goes and this is not to ridicule him, but the fact that is out there in the open and with proves.

He is one man whom you would visit and the next thing you'll hear from him is, "I don't Carry cash around, my PA does and everything I want is bought by the PA", not even a cup of water would be offered a visitor.

ENTITLEMENT MENTALITY.
How can a man who can not offer a cup of water to a visitor win election, a whole governorship election when there is a seating governor with state resources at his beck and call?

Professor Pat Utomi would have spoilt the chances of the All Progressives Congress in Delta State to make any inroad into the state come 2019 and this would have been the worst outing for the Party in the state.

The best advise would be to ask that the amiable prof goes to test his popularity at the Local Government Level first, before allowing him push to either the state or national level.

Politics in Nigeria is money and money is also politics in Nigeria, so, men such as Professor Pat Utomi have no business being in politics when he has no heart of giving or spending his resources for what he desires and craves for.
