I Will Not Resign As Minister Until A Court Says So ---Adebayo Shittu.

The Minister of Communications, Alhaji Adebayo Shittu has said that those asking him to resign over his inability to participate in the National Youth Service Corp of the Federal Government are merely wasting their times as he is not willing to resign over such a matter.


According to him, "I did not, neither have I committed any offense by not participating in the NYSC programme when I finished university as the situation at that time had never happened in the history of Nigeria before".

I am the first and only person in this country as was elected in the States House of Assembly as soon as I was coming out of the university, making it impossible to have gone for the NYSC program and this wasn't any fault of mine and I had to opt of the program to serve the people of my constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly.

Kemi Adeosun's cake was different from mine as hers bothered on fakery and not eligibility and so, her case should not be the yardstick for mine in anyway possible and I will remain minister till a court of competent jurisdiction says otherwise on this case.

So, I won't resign over this in anyway at all.
