IMO 2019: Emeka Ihedioha Emerges PDP's Governorship Candidate In Imo State.

Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Chukwuemeka Ihedioha has emerged the Governorship candidate of the People's Democratic Party, PDP for the 2019 Governorship elections in Imo State.


Ihedioha emerged candidate after he won the primaries of the party, defeating five other aspirants who contested for the party ticket with him.

He pulled 1723 votes above Senator Samuel Anyanwu who came second with 1282, Senator Athan Achonu, 63, Professor Jude Njoku, 21, Chief Chukwuma Ekomaru, 7 and Benneth Ezeji, 1 vote.

With the victory of Ihedioha, the governorship election in Imo State will be very tough come 2019 as the gladiators are working very hard to take the Douglas house from the Rochas Okorochas family who have decided to immortalize themselves in the Government of Imo State.
