54 Silhouettes, a one
man show which would be performed by deep thinking actor and theatre practitioner, Charles Etubiebi, tells the story of a struggling Nigerian actor,
Victor Chimezie, who gets his chance at making it big in Hollywood when his
agent, Sonny Chuks, landed him a part in a blockbuster film, when a big time
producer backed the project with the lead actor is the mega star.
With the new
development, fame and fortune came knocking with everything Victor and Sonny had
bled for over the years turning around suddenly, but the only one problem
started when Victor discovers the movie is exactly what he swore he'd never do
again: another "war in Africa" film.
Caught in between
career ambitions and ideals of his African identity, Victor must decide whether
to do the film or ditch it.
54 Silhouettes is
written by Africa Ukoh and directed by William Obasi.
20th of
