The
entrance of Entertainment practitioners into politics is gradually gaining a
lot of weight in recent times and this is because a lot of them are becoming
more of intellectuals than what our parents of old used to call, NEVER DO WELLS
& EMPTY BRAINS.
Amongst
these actors your will see very educated ones like Eucharia Anunobi, Kenneth
Okonkwo, Kanayo O. Kanayo and so many others who are earning academic laurels on a daily basis and
some, going for elective posts at different levels.
One
of those who is coming out to contest for an elective position is Nollywood
Veteran Actor, Barbara Odoh who is contesting to be Deputy Governor of Lagos
State under the platform of, African Democratic Congress, ADC with Muyiwa
Fafowora as the Governorship Candidate.
Though
not much has been heard about her desire to be Deputy Governor as some of us
expect that she would have generated a lot of buzz, especially as a veteran
actor, using the platform of the Social Media, I trust not too many people know
she is even the candidate of any political party in Lagos.
Well,
I really do not know what her strategies for embarking on this journey is, but
I wish she and her team does more, because not many people know she is in the
race for ALAUSA-LAGOS.
She
can do more than having a video clip of an interview she granted TVC News on
her Facebook Timeline.
