Actor, Rita Dominic says she is not in a hurry to get married due to pressure
from either family or the society, as she will marry the man of her dreams when
she finds him and is ready for married, not because people want her to marry.
Rita
was a guest on TVC EANTERTAINMENT’S flagship program, “Your View”, anchored by
pretty Morayo Afolabi-Brown and her co-hosts, where she revealed that she
almost got married a while ago, but to the wrong person, which she discovered
before the marriage and pulled out.
According
to her, "I would marry the man of my dreams and not the man the society
dreams for me. Society feels that there's something wrong with you if you are a
certain age and you are not married. What if it's the society that something is
wrong with, for thinking that way, for forcing someone to do what they do not
want to do, or forcing them to do what they want to do but in their own time?
I
almost married someone. We were there, but it didn't work out and I am happy it
didn't work out. I have my life to live and the society cannot live theirs and
live mine too with their. This is the only place where people take ownership of
your life without your permission and this is wrong, Rita concluded.
According
to Rita Dominic Nwaturuocha, she clocked 43 years old this year and still
single.
