I
was part of those who campaigned for President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015,
including other people who risked their lives like I did against all odds to
campaign vigorously for his emergence as President and I have no regrets I did
that, but I am challenged now as history has not taught those campaigning for
him anything at all.
The
Goodluck Jonathan led administration maligned, abused, insulted, debased,
accused and told unwarranted lies against GMB then in their bid to win the 2015
presidential elections but God failed them as it was not in their powers to
take power without the support of God who makes and removes kings at will.
FAST
FORWARD TO 2018!
I
have seen articles written, lies told, Information pushed to malign, abuse,
insult, accuse, instigate, and even cause the person of Atiku Abubakar, the
Presidential Candidate of the PDP in Muhammadu Buhari’s bid to win the
presidency again, same way Goodluck Jonathan did against him by those appointed
to handle his campaigns.
Now,
like I told the camp of Goodluck Jonathan in 2015, I am telling those handling
Muhammadu Buhari that they don’t need to attack the personality of anybody, not
Atiku, not Obiageli Oby Ezekwesili, not any other candidate, what they need as
incumbent is to convince the electorates of their credibility to retain power
with SUBSTANCE, I mean, SHOWING OF PERFORMANCE and if Nigerians are satisfied,
they will vote for him again.
No
one has taken Atiku Abubakar to Court, no one has charged him for corruption,
no court in Nigeria has found him wanting on anything corruption nor indicted
him in anyway possible and all the Buhari’s camp is busy doing, instead of
showing us their score cards, is trying to tarnish his image??
If
truly tarnishing of Image works anymore in Nigeria, would President Muhammadu
Buhari have survived the onslaught against him by the same PDP in 2015?
What
exactly did these people learn from what happened in 2015 Atleast?
If
Atiku Abubakar wins the 2019 elections and becomes President, do you guys think
that FESTUS KEYAMO would reject a job from him? Afterall, the same PDP he is
castigating today, he worked for them and who amongst those in the APC today
were not PDP members of yesterday excerpt maybe, President Muhammadu Buhari and
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu?
Another
thing is the God-Factor.
I
believed that it was God, as always, that removed Goodluck Jonathan in 2015,
even as we all know that it is He who enthrones and dethrones people, same as
He did in 2015 and who says He can’t do it again in 2019?
What
exactly did the PDP not say against Buhari in 2015, that he had no
certificates, he was brain dead, he will die the next day, he was this, he was
that, but because his name was in the register of God to be president at this
point in time, was anything able to stop him? HE WON COMPREHENSIVELY against
them, telling them that power belonged to God and same power still belongs to
God even in 2019.
So,
if the All Progressives Congress, APC and the handlers of the Presidents
campaign, especially people like Festus Keyamo learnt anything from the 2015
experience, it is that no amount of falsehood or false information to bring
down the reputation of one man can work if his time has come.
Infact,
PDP used bad press against Buhari so much so that his name became more popular
than even their own candidate and you will all see that 2015 will repeat itself
in 2019 with the way these guys are going about attacking Atiku Abubakar,
especially with no evidence of proof against him.
If
it is time for Atiku Abubakar to be President of Nigeria, no one, not even an
Atlantic Ocean filled with lies can stop him.
If
lies against Buhari in 2015 could not stop the hand of God from moving, is it
now that it will?
Look!
You
cannot fight a man whose time have come and some of you may interpret these
words of mine any which way you deem fit, but the truth is, if 2019 has the
seal of Muhammadu Buhari on it as President, there is nothing the PDP and Atiku
Abubakar can do about it, and if it has the seal of Atiku, Festus Keyamo and co
cannot change it.
So,
let what happened in 2015 guide us aright.
