The Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubaka, has this afternoon emerged the candidate of about 45 political parties put together.


The Coalition of United Political Parties, CUPP, the umbrella body of over 45 major opposition parties, few hours after a closed door deliberation at the Yardua Centre, Abuja, has announced former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential Candidate of the PDP, as the consensus candidate of the opposition.

The coalition parties will be formally meeting with Atiku Abubakar before Friday for formal commencement of the coalition campaign.
