Dayo Adeneye. Commissioner for Information & Strategy, Ogun State. |
All is really not with the All Progressives Congress, APC in
Ogun State as no fewer than 26 aspirants for the House of Assembly in the state
under the platform of the APC has all dumped the party for the Allied Peoples
Movement, APM.
The decampees are party members who felt aggrieved over how
the primary election for the House of Assembly was conducted by the party in
the state, a move they say was hijacked by the party leadership in Abuja.
Leading the defectors is Lamidi Olatunje who said that since
the APC could not do justice to them, they have decided to try to actualize
their dreams on another platform which is the Allied Peoples Movement, APM.
HE SAYS: We wish to acknowledge the fatherly role of
President Muhammadu Buhari in seeking to sustain the tenets of democracy,
fairness and equity in the resolution of the crisis in Ogun APC, but we wish to
regret that Mr. President’s efforts were frustrated by the forces that are
hellbent in taking the southwest back to the dark age of slavery where
unelected kingpins direct the affairs of the people.
Prominent amongst those who defected are Commissioner for Information
and Strategy, Dayo Adeneye and Modupe Mujota, Commissioner for Education,
Science and Technology.
