Wife of Cross River State.

The Cross River State Government yesterday launched a centre to give help to women and under-aged girls in her bid to address all gender based violence in the state.

The wife of the governor, Mrs. Lynda Ayade who was part of the inauguration said that deviant behaviors such as wife battering, sexual molestation and a host of other gender based violence would become a thing of the past.

She therefore urged women in the state to report any gender based violence to the centre so that drastic actions can be taken against perpetrators of these heinous crimes again women.

In her words: A Time has come for us to say enough is enough and it is only when you raise alarm that your rights have been taken, that such right will not be taken away from you and we promise to replicate the centre across the three Senatorial districts in the state.
