APGA Governorship Candidate in Imo State. Senator Ifeanyi Araraume. |
Well,
Imo State has in recent times become a caricature of sort, being ridiculed by
the State Governor, Rochas Okorocha who do not exactly understand what it means
to be Governor, but the tide is dividing and very soon, Imo will breathe a sigh
of relief, especially with the caliber of individuals who are contesting to be
Governor, in replacement for a mediocre of a governor who has reduced Imo State
to the lowest level amongst the comity of states in Nigeria.
One
of those who want to salvage Imo is former Senator, Ifeanyi Araraume who said
yesterday that he has handed over his candidacy and ambition to God, who
according to him, enthrones and dethrones kings.
The
Governorship candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, says nobody
would be allowed to manipulate the election process in Imo State again as has
been the case before, even as he attended a church service at Holy Cross
Catholic Church Aladimma, to seek the face of God for the 2019 elections.
He claimed that Imolites have been passing through torture and that the end to the suffering of the people was to enthrone good governance. He said: “We have come to thank God for all that we have passed through. We went through all the processes and we have emerged candidate of APGA for the purpose of governorship. We came to the church to hand over to God the rest of the journey.”
