Two Members Of The APC In Lagos Drags Party To Court Over Plan To Change Their Names.

Two members of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Lagos have dragged the party's leadership to court over plans of the party to change their names through forgery of their signatures.


The members, Olanrewaju Suleiman Afinni and Olumoh Saad Lukman allege that some highly placed members of the party are planning to steal their mandate for their anointed candidates and in an attempt to douse the tension, the two party members approached the Federal High Court in Abuja to challenge the alleged plan to withdraw their names from the INEC record.

Olanrewaju Suleiman Afinni (Lagos Island Constituency) and Olumoh Saad Lukman (Ajeromi/Ifelodun Constituency) said that the alleged plan is ongoing by big members of the party in Lagos, stating that they never at anytime withdrew their interest from the race.

The prayed in separate summons with number tags, FCH/ABJ/CS/1479/18 and FHC/ABJ/CS/1480/18 that the respondents (APC Lagos) should be stopped from withdrawing their names from INEC.

In a letter by their legal counsel, Maydan Legal Consult to the National Chairman of the APC, Com. Adams Oshiomhole, dated 30th December, 2018, the plaintiffs prayed the party to intervened to stop the party in Lagos from substituting their names from INEC.
