The maiden edition of
the COMEDY CLUB AWARDS..“THE TOUR” an IN AND OUT ENTERTAINMENT concept holds
from the 24th through to 28th July 2019. The awards will be presented to
winners at their various comedy clubs.
In present day Nigeria
according to the organizers, entertainment has become an integral part of our
social life and in recent times, has experienced phenomenal growth as a
lucrative business. Comedy club has also experienced a boom and now competes
favorably with other aspects of the comedy business in Nigeria and as a result,
we want to honour major contributors to this aspect of the comedy business in
the country.
The award is to honour
comedy club hosts (comedians) and club owners who within the last one year have
supported and promoted the business of comedy in Nigeria through COMEDY CLUBS.
According to Emmanuel
Onyika, founder of the award scheme and CEO at IN AND OUT ENTERTAINMENT, the
awards is aimed at recognizing, rewarding and celebrating excellence among
comedians and club owners who have added value to the comedy business in the
country and we aim to use this platform to give back to same people who has
made the business of comedy in clubs a success.
It is expected that
when this is done, every club owner and comedian would be more proud of
themselves, as they continue to do more in creating jobs in clubs across the
nation.
