Uche Ogah. APC's Governorship Candidate in Abia State. |
Dr.
Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah Campaign Council and the All Progressives Congress
(APC) in Abia State, sees as laughable the infantile statement credited to one
nefarious character known as Chineye Nwaogu, who granted a press conference in
Umuahia on Sunday accusing our gubernatorial candidate of being behind the woes
of his accomplice who maybe planning to take the life of our candidate. He
alleged that our amiable candidate was involved in N-Power activities and the
imaginary torture of his accomplice who is in the custody of the DSS in
relation to his criminal activities and possession of a document with INEC logo
detailing results of yet to be conducted presidential and national assembly
elections.
Recently,
we were alerted by a petition written against the son of a former governor in
Abia State and his co-conspirators, to the effect that they have plans to
assassinate our principal and gubernatorial candidate, because his candidature
has become unbeatable.
Based
on that, security around our candidate was reinvigorated. But just as predicted
by those who alerted us, on the 15th of February, a night before the postponed
presidential and national assembly elections, security officers attached to our
office apprehended one Gaius who is currently on the run, spying on the
activities of our office and asking questions about the movement of Dr.
Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah. He was not the only individual around the office vicinity
as we are well aware that political activities are bound to attract many
people. But his desperation to know the whereabout of our candidate led to a
major surveillance on him. Then it was discovered that he was pacing around
offices in Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah's Campaign Office taking pictures and
forwarding same to some people somewhere. At the same time, he was making calls
to the individuals he was sending these images to.
Knowing
fully well that he is a stranger, not our staff and was never invited to any
political activities of our Campaign Council, he was then approached for
questioning. It was discovered that he was not acting alone. He confessed to
spying on Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah and his office on behalf of one Mr Felix
Kennedy Obisike and a special Adviser to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, Mr. Chineye
Nwaogu. Then security officers in the campaign office were detailed to trail
his accomplice who happened to be located some meters away from the office. As
soon as Mr. Gaius pointed to Mr Kennedy as the man who had sent him to spy on
Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, he raced off and disappeared into the streets of
Umuahia. He is still on the run.
But
the car in which Mr. Kennedy Obisike was in had a police belt on the dashboard,
which should ordinarily mean that he is a police officer. On asking him to
disclose his identity as a police officer, it was discovered that he was a
possible assassin operating under the guise of a police officer. Security
officers as expected apprehended him. And right in his car where found various
incriminating documents, including N-power check booklet, letterhead of the
Governor of Abia State, some details of financial transactions running into
millions, a letter to the presidency, prepared result of 2019 presidential and
national assembly elections, etc.
It
was then obvious that the character in question was a high profile criminal who
may be on assignment to assassinate Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah. But what was
baffling was his insistence that he was on this clandestine mission on behalf
of one Chineye Nwaogu who is a Special Adviser to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of
Abia State. Meaning that this is a high level plan to possibly kill our
candidate before the governorship election.
Hence,
it is laughable to hear one of the criminal suspects in the attempt on Dr.
Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah's life using N-power in a press conference as a cover
up.
But
that will not work. We are determined to go to any extent to establish Mr
Chineye's interest in activities around our gubernatorial candidate, especially
in the light of recent revelations that some of them who are serving in the
failed Okezie Ikpeazu led government are working with the son of a former
governor in Abia State to eliminate him.
For
the avoidance of doubt, it is important to state that Dr. Uchuchekwu Sampson
Ogah has never been involved in the activities or whatsoever relating to
N-Power in Abia State; notwithstanding the fact that it is a laudable project
of APC government in the center, which pays 30,000 monthly to 16,000 Abia
Youths, under President Mohammedu Buhari's administration.
Unfortunately,
the cheap character who is trying to play politics with this wonderful program
and who's party as a government in power in Abia State has not been able to pay
ordinary minimum wage of 18,000 to Abia State civil servants has been a
constant voice on radio condemning President Buhari and denying the that his
administration has done anything for the people of the state.
But
this resort to using the scheme as escape has failed.
We
know that he and his masters has been stealing from N-Power beneficiaries and
has not been prosecuted but we will not allow them to hide under it to cover
their attempt on the life of our candidate.
They
can continue to use APC N-Power and other projects to promote their failed
government but everyone involved in this clandestine security breach must face
the law.
Their
quick jump on the N-Power to hide their attempt on Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson
Ogah's life will not work. Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah does not have records or
data of N-Power beneficiaries in Abia State and at no point did he send
messages to them. We challenge the criminal who is hiding in government house
to provide evidence of Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah's numbers sending messages
to the beneficiaries. And we call on all security agencies in the country who
should be involved in investigating these criminals to expedite actions on
their arrest and trial. They are nothing but common criminals who should
be thoroughly investigated for breaching security in Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson
Ogah's office and for their involvement in the attempted elections rigging in
Abia State.
