The
leadership of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Imo State has once
again declared Senator Ifeanyi Araraume as the only authentic Candidate of the
Party for the 2019 Gubernatorial election in the State.
The
Chairman of APGA in Imo State, Barr. Eze Obi stated this at a Press Conference
in Owerri, Imo State. Eze Obi who addressed newsmen on the claim by one Stanley
Amuchie that he is the candidate of APGA in Imo State. The APGA chairman who
was visibly angry descrbed Amuchie as an impersonator who was trying to confuse
members of the public with fake documents purporting that he won the APGA
Primaries. He threatened that APGA would take Amuchie to Court for
impersonation.
According
to Eze Obi, no individual can impose himself on a Political Party as candidate
since according to him, our Laws only mandate a Political Party to determine
who it's candidate for any election would be.
Eze
Obi said that Amuchie's decision to print posters and hoist banners declaring
himself APGA'S candidate was misleading and criminal.
He
accused Amuchie of being part of a plot to distract Senator Araraume who he
said would win the Governorship election in Imo State.
He
assured that no amount of blackmail and distraction would stop Senator Araraume
from winning the Imo Governorship election.
