AGN President, Emeka Rollas, On A Two-Day Working Visit To The UK, Meets With UK Based Practitioners & The Nigerian High Commissioner.

The leadership of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN were on a two day working visit to the United Kingdom, where the actors association had gone to seek partnership and collaborations with the branch of the guild in the UK in promoting Nollywood beyond the shores of Africa.


The Nigerian arm of the Guild led by her President, Emeka Rollas Ejezie met with the UK branch and her President, Theodora Ibekwe-Oyebade, and had discussions on issues bothering mainly on taking Nollywood from where she is currently in terms of better filming, collaboration in production, adoption of promotional efficiencies, and ways of making sure that the industry succeeds above its current ratings in Africa.

AGN Nigeria group also had meetings with the Nigerian High Commissioner to the UK, Retired Justice George Oguntade, who used the platform provided by the courtesy visit to extol the virtues and contributions of Nollywood to not only Nigeria, but Africa and the world at large with quality movies being churned out by actors, producer and directors to not only make Nigerians happy, but to contribute to the GDP and growth of the Nigerian economy.

Justice Oguntade asked that the leadership of the AGN continues her giant strides in holding together, the association and assured them of his cooperation in any area the association would need him to come in.

Malcom Benson, President of Nollywood Producers Guild of UK, Nnenna Ani and Doyinola are members of the Actors Guild of Nollywood, UK who were in the delegation.
