Governor
Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has expressed shock following the passing of the
Chief Imam Of Ebira Land, Alhaji Musa Galadima.
The
governor however, extolled Alhaji Galadima, describing him as a humble, gentle
and serious Islamic Teacher whose tutelage extended beyond Nigeria, while
calling on Islamic Clerics to emulate the life led by the deceased.
This
was contained in a statement signed by Onogwu Muhammed, his Chief Press
Secretary and made available to newsmen in Lokoja, Kogi State on Friday.
Governor
Bello said the death of the Chief Imam was a devastating loss not only to him
and Kogi State, but also to Islamic World, adding that the depth of the loss
would be felt beyond the shores of Nigeria in view of the vastness and depth of
his knowledge.
The
statement read in part "The late Chief Imam was God-fearing, honest,
disciplined, and obedient to the constituted authority especially the
traditional institution. The Governor condoled with the Ohinoyi Of Ebira Land,
the immediate family and disciples of late Alhaji Musa Galadima as well as the
people of Kogi State and the Muslim Community at large. The governor prayed to
Allah to forgive him all his shortcomings and made Aljanat Firdaus his final
resting place”
