THE REASON I WILL STEP DOWN FROM CONTESTING FOR SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES IS WHEN APC ZONES THE POSITION TO THE SOUTH-EAST Says Muhammed Bago!

Hon. Mohammed Bago is member of the House of Representatives, representing the good people of Chanchanga Constituency of Niger State and one of those contesting to be speaker of the House of Representatives.

HE SAYS:
I am one of the most qualified to the Speaker, having served meritoriously in the House in the last 12 years. I have a pedigree anyone can verify, a history not soiled with baggage’s of mistakes and misbehaviors and I stand to say that as it stands today, I am going all out to give this contest my best because, unless our dear party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, decides to zone the Speaker position to the South-East, I am in this race full time.

If not, there is nothing stopping me from being Speaker.

‘’I am from the North-Central and we are the only zone that has not had a stint at being Speaker or Deputy and in the last election, we were the zone that gave the THIRD HIGHEST VOTE to the president, so, why the injustice’’?

If my zone is good enough to produce the third largest votes for the President, why then are we not good enough to be given the position of Speaker, and I tell you and I employ you do some research on my person, I am the most qualified in all ramifications to be Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives. But as a Nigerian, my stepping down from this race would be based on the consideration of the South-East as the choice of APC and not another zone.
