| Late Oba Mufutau Hamzat. |
The
incoming Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Obafemi Hamzat has finally broken his
silence over the passing on of his father, Oba Mufutau Olatunji Hamzat, thanking
God for the life he lived.
According
to Dr. Hamzat: "Today, I lost my father Oba Mufutau Olatunji Hamzat, Olu
of Afowowa. I thank Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful for the life he
lived. One of the greatest gifts a father can give his children is courage
and belief in their dreams.
Thank
you Father for believing in ours".
Oba
Hamzat was in his mid-80s, a member of the Governors Advisory Committee (GAC)
of Lagos State and one of the elders of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He
was the former National Vice Chairman of the Allaince for Democracy (AD) before
it metamorphosed into Action Congress (AC), Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN)
and now APC.
