The Alumni Association
of the National Institute, AANI has congratulated Prof. Tijjani Mohammed Bande,
the former Director-General of National Institute for Policy and Strategic
Studies, NIPSS, on his appointment as President of the United Nations General
Assembly.
In a press statement,
the Publicity Secretary of the association, Dr. Ogbonna Onyeisi, congratulated
the newly-elected President of United National General Assembly, Prof. Bande
who directed the affairs of, NIPSS, the Ama Mater of the association for so
many years before he was appointed Nigeria's Permanent Representative to the
United Nations, saying that AANI is proud of Prof. Bande and will stand by him
in the journey of making the world a better society.
AANI says their
support for the Prof is sacrosanct and we as a body of very prominent Nigerians
will do our best to make our own now world role model succeed on the job.
