Kogi
State Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello has sent greetings to all Nigerians while
calling on the people of the state and their compatriots everywhere to sustain
the country's democracy.
His
call was contained in a press statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Hon

The
Governor, who described democracy as the best form of government acknowledged
that the country was still emerging from the shadows of a chequered past, and
said Nigeria needs Nigerians to bind together in order to move the nation
forward.
Governor
Bello, who further described President Muhammadu Buhari as a man that is
passionate about the plight of the common man, applauded deliberate policies of
the administration to deepen democracy through better service delivery to the
society, especially the poor and vulnerable.
The
Kogi State helmsman who will be seeking a second term in office come November
16 said that since he came to office 3 and a half years ago, his administration
has implemented policies to institutionalise good governance, secure lives and
properties and grow the economy beyond civil service wages and government
spending. He pledged his commitment to continue towing the same path.
The
Governor appealed to all citizens of the state to desist from all utterances
which overheat the polity, stating that the state cared for all of citizens
resident or transiting through it.
