The
Police in Niger State has arrested one John Joshua, 23, who has confessed to
killing his neighbor, Yohanna Ali, whom
he claimed disrespected his father and out of anger, killed him.
Joshua, who was arrested by the Police
in Zazzaga Area, in Munya Local Government Area of Niger state, claimed that
when he approached the deceased over his disrespect to his father, the late
Yohanna showed no remorse and that was unacceptable by him and out of anger, he
attacked him with a knife which resulted to his death.
“I killed him because he insulted my
father, forgetting that I will confront him. I never insulted his father before
so why must he disrespect my father. When I confronted him, he did not show
remorse. I stabbed him on his ribs which resulted to his death so that in his
next world he will not lack respect for his elders again.
It
was learnt the deceased and father of the suspect had a misunderstanding when
the suspect was not around and upon his return, his father reported to him
which made him to confront the deceased.
