The
governor of Imo State, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha CON, will between the 3rd
and the 5th of June, 2019 at the Crystal Lake Resorts and Towers,
Oguta deliver the keynote address at the retreat for the members-elect of the
Imo House of Assembly.
The
retreat cum orientation is part of the programmes designed to start the new
government in the state on a good keel.
According
to the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Steve Osuji, apart from the
keynote address by the Governor, a special goodwill message will also be
presented by Justice Pascal Obinna Nnadi, Chief Justice of Imo State. Some
resource persons who will be on hand during the 3-day packed sessions include;
Dr. Chris Asoluka, Rt. Hon. Nnaemeka Maduagwu and Rt. Hon. Chuma Nnaji, among
others.
The
retreat and orientation, apart from bringing the IMHA members up to speed with
the procedures and processes of law-making, appropriation and oversight, it
will also afford seamless interaction among the three tiers of government as a
new era of government kicks off.
