Naira Marley has finally been released from prison, 14 days after the court
granted him bail, as he was not able to meet his bail conditions which included
his provision of two sureties who must be civil servants with landed properties
within the jurisdiction of the court and on grade level 14.
He is facing 11 counts bordering on
cybercrime for allegedly conniving with one Yad Isril (at large) to use Access
card issued to other persons in a bid to obtain gain, an offence contrary to
Section 27(1) (b) of the Cybercrime Prohibition, Prevention Act 2015.
Reports have indicated that witnesses
from financial institutions will testify at his next court appearance slated
for October 22, 23 and 24.
