The
identity of the trigger-happy policeman who extra-judicially snuffed life out
of the young Chukwubuike Onuoha in Afrara Ukwu, Umuahia, Abia State has been
revealed.

He
is Collins Akpugo, a sergeant by rank. He is said to have served for many years
at World Bank Police Station, Osisioma, Aba from where he was transferred to
Umuahia.

Sergeant
Collins got wedded on the 6th of May this year to his heartthrob in a Catholic
Church, and lived as next door neighbor to the boy he finally shot dead. From
what I have been able to excavate about Sergeant Collins, he is a coolheaded
cop who went about policing professionally, and a caring family dude. What
could have enraged him to the point of turning his weapon of life protection to
a weapon of life elimination is still baffling. What now becomes of the one
month old marriage young marriage he just contracted?

This
killing should resuscitate the clarion calls for all our military and men to be
subjected to a mandatory periodic psychiatric examinations every six months.
