Ondo Gov., Akeredola Promotes Broadcaster, Dapo Aruwajoye SSA, Broadcast Communications, Appoints NUJ State Chair, Oyewamide SSA, Media & Publicity.

The Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has approved the promotion of his former Press Secretary on Electronic Media, Dapo Aruwajoye to the position of Senior Special Assistant, SSA on Broadcast Communications and the appointment of the State Chairman of the Correspondents Chapel, Mr. Ojo Oyewamide, as Senior Special Assistant, SSA, Media and Publicity.


According to the Governor, these appointments take immediate effect and are made to strengthen his media team for better service delivery.

Ojo Oyewamide was the Ondo State of the Daily Independent newspaper before his appointment.

Both are graduates of English Studies from the Obefemi Awolowo University, OAU, Oyewamide started his career as a Journalist with the then Comet Newspaper, had a brief stint with National Mirror before joining Daily Independent Newspaper as the Ondo State Correspondent before his appointment. He is the current chairman of the Correspondents Chapel, State Council of the NUJ.

Aruwajoye on the other hand, holds a Masters Degree in Media and Globalisation from the Nottingham Trent University in the United Kingdom, was Press Secretary (Electronics) to Governor Akeredolu.

He had worked in Channels Television and Continental TV before joining the governor’s media team.
