Award of Excellence
for good governance and contribution to the growth of the All Progressives
Congress was conferred on Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Yahaya Bello by
the APC Press Corps at the party headquarters in Abuja.
Presenting the Award
to the governor on Wednesday, July 10, the APC National Vice Chairman, North
Central, Mr. Suleiman Wambai described Governor Yahaya Bello as a distinguished
party man who has contributed to its growth both at the state and national
levels. The Vice-Chairman extolled Governor Bello on good governance in the
area of security, infrastructure, human capital development and other
sectors.
Mr. Wambai who said
the secretariat was not known for giving the award to individual or group
stated that Governor Bello’s contribution in driving the party affairs and the
development his administration has recorded were too obvious to be ignored,
therefore, deserved commendation.
On his part, the
governor said the award will only act as a catalyst which will speed up
implementation of his administration’s policies and programmes for the interest
of Kogi people.
