President Buhari Commiserates With Gov., Yahaya Bello On The Loss Of His Mother.

The President, Muhammadu Buhari has sent his condolences to the Government, the Governor and the people of Kogi State on the death of Madam Rekiya Momoh-Bello, the step-mother of the governor, Yahaya Bello, whose demise occurred three days ago.


In a statement sent in by the President and signed by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, the president expressed shocked over the death, and wished peace for the soul of the departed and strength for the bereaved family.

It would be recalled that for this death, the governor, Yahaya Bello could not attend the meeting of Progressive Governors with the president, at which point the governors absence was noticed by the president, who inquired and was told of his step-mothers death.

The late Madam Rekiya Momoh Bello has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
